MAXWELL AFB, Ala. Software development firm Flight Schedule Pro has signed a multi-year corporate partnership agreement with Civil Air Patrol, the civilian auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force. Specializing in Web-based software services for the general aviation community, Flight Schedule Pro (www.flightschedulepro.com) is a leading online scheduling and aircraft/resource management system for flight schools, flying clubs, charter organizations, and fractional ownership groups. The company is also the latest in a growing list of corporations to support Civil Air Patrol and its community service missions through CAP's corporate partner program.
While terms of the agreement were undisclosed, Flight Schedule Pro will provide Civil Air Patrol with the ability to integrate its scheduling and maintenance software into CAP's information management and asset tracking systems. In return, the company will receive the right to use the CAP name and corporate supporter mark in the company's advertising, marketing and promotional programs.
We'd like to thank Flight Schedule Pro for this commitment to our members, said Maj. Gen. Richard Bowling, CAP national commander. Several of our CAP units across the country are already using their system and it has been well-received. Now we'll be able to offer the benefits of Flight Schedule Pro technology to all our air crews.
Supporting a growing international customer base, Flight Schedule Pro is an easy-to-use yet efficient multiple aircraft scheduling system. "We feel privileged to play a part in an organization that has made our country a safer place and has served our community in so many positive ways over the years, said Jasen Barnes, president of Flight Schedule Pro. We are excited about this partnership and believe we can bring a lot to the table for the members of Civil Air Patrol."
More than 62,000 volunteer men and women are currently members of the nonprofit Civil Air Patrol. With its fleet of 550 single-engine aircraft, CAP performs 95% of continental U.S. inland search and rescue missions as tasked by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center and was credited last year by the AFRCC with saving more than 140 lives. CAP volunteers also perform homeland security, disaster relief and counterdrug missions at the request of federal, state and local agencies.
The addition of Flight Schedule Pro to CAP's current integrated management system will offer a fast, easy and efficient solution to our members in scheduling and maintaining our aircraft, said Paul Capicik, CAP director of information technology at CAP National Headquarters.
In addition to its community service operations, CAP members also take a leading role in aerospace education and serve as mentors to the almost 27,000 young people currently participating in CAP cadet programs. CAP has been performing missions for America for more than 60 years.
