DONATIONS
Civil Air Patrol members come in all ages and from all walks of life. CAP officers are teachers, lawyers, doctors, and maybe even your coworkers. What they all have in common is a need to give back to their country and their communities by serving in CAP. Now, through CAP Cares you can help Civil Air Patrol members in need.
You can choose which program you would like your gift to support and 100% goes to the fund and to Civil Air Patrol members. There are senior members who are going through expensive medical treatments and don’t want to give up CAP but simply cannot pay the dues. There are cadets from low-income families who qualify to attend flight academies but can’t afford to go. You can help.
Now, through CAP CARES you can help support the important missions of Civil Air Patrol by helping the members.

Patrick Goudey Flight Scholarship
The Civil Air Patrol Patrick Goudey Flight Scholarship Fund was established by Alison Newton in memory of her deceased father, Patrick, and the members of the Civil Air Patrol. In August 2005, members of the Georgia Wing tirelessly searched for three days until Mr. Goudey's crash site was finally located in the Georgia countryside. In Ms. Goudey's words: "For three days, over 200 members of the Civil Air Patrol came together to search for and recover my father, working 24 hours a day. I was truly touched by the dedication, loyalty and concern for a fallen pilot that each and every CAP member expressed. Being in the presence of such compassionate people showed me that giving back is so important and helping others is one of the greatest gifts you can give." The Goudey flight scholarships are awarded to deserving CAP cadets who ordinarily would not have the financial means of pursuing an interest in flight.
