CAP PUBLIC AWARENESS PLAN

Public Awareness Plan

The CAP National Board unanimously approved a proposed CAP National Public Awareness Plan during the summer National Board meeting in Atlanta. Prior to the board meeting, the plan was presented to more than 80 CAP public affairs officers who attended the inaugural PAO Academy.

The Public Awareness Plan is designed to establish CAP’s brand by communicating at the grassroots level the myriad ways in which our volunteers serve their communities. It will be implemented nationwide following a 30-day review to allow CAP’s Group and Unit Commanders and PAOs, who will be primarily responsible for implementation, the opportunity to thoroughly review it and provide input. The plan and supporting documents critical to the plan’s success and an introductory video are available for your review by clicking on the "Plan Downloads" link to the left.

The Public Awareness Plan’s overall success will be tied to your talent and expertise, which means your input regarding all aspects of the plan during this review period is vital.
